Excell take on the 2010 Dumball and walk off with the Monkey!

Excell took on the seemingly impossible challenge of the 2010 Dumball rally with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the The Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity we proudly support.

What is the Dumball?

It's an annual event founded by a bunch of like minded individuals who were fed up with reading about the japes of the rich and famous taking part in the Gumball Rally and wanted a piece of the action - on a fraction of the budget. The aim is to have an excellent time, raising as much money for charity as possible.

To do this, you need to buy a cheap car, do it up beyond all belief, get in fancy dress, then drive in convoy to a far away place. This year the route took contestants from Brighton to Sicily on a wild and well decorated adventure.

The Journey

The Team (Richard, Dave and Chris) took the challenge head-on by buying a cheap car (with broken air con) and converting it into the Gold Bullion van from the original Italian Job - gold spray-paint and big boiler suits included!

The Results
Not only did they manage to raise almost £2000.00 for charity - they also walked away with the coveted 'Spirit of the Dumball' Monkey. The trophy is the highest honour of the Dumball - given to the group who show the most passion, courage and madness along the way. It's made out of a coconut and mounted on rich mahogany.

Well done boys!
