Business communications provider Excell Group Ltd bolsters product range with the acquisition of IT/Apple support specialists MacSeven Consultants Ltd.
Unified communications provider Excell Group has acquired IT/Apple support specialists MacSeven Consultants Ltd, adding turnover in excess of £2m from a diversified portfolio of household name clients. The acquisition is a great strategic fit in the evolution of Excell – helping drive further cross selling opportunities within the enlarged base, while also providing MacSeven customers with direct access to the Group’s full portfolio of products and services.
MacSeven’s main service offering is Apple Mac computer support, whilst other offerings include PC support as well as Mac and PC hardware and projects. MacSeven’s team of 7 is led by directors Michael Humphreys and Naveen Nahar. Operational activities will remain autonomous and they will continue to be the point of contact for their existing customer support.
The acquisition, following last year’s purchase of City Audio Visual Services, further bolsters Excell’s strategy of horizontal and vertical integration. This latest acquisition is particularly relevant for the 6,000+ customers in Excell-enabled business centres, many of whom use the Apple Mac OS and devices.
Excell Group, this year celebrating 25 years in business, is an established provider of cloud & premise-based managed services and AV services to business clients. Following multiple successful acquisitions, Excell has set aside a large acquisition fund is actively searching for more targets to acquire.
The acquisitions are structured to give Excell a controlling interest, but still leave the sellers with a stake. This is generally the start of a partnership where back office and billing worries are removed, leaving 100% of time to concentrate on developing new and existing customer opportunities.
